School meals are freshly cooked and prepared on the premises and cost £1.55 each day. Dinner money should be brought on a Monday, £7.75, in a sealed envelope with the child’s name and class. They should be given via the child’s class and not straight to the office. If, for any reason, your child is absent any outstanding money will be forwarded to the following week.
Details of the dinner menus are published each term on the Derby City Council web site - click here to see this term's menu.
New parents are invited to come with their child to sample a typical school meal in the summer term prior to the child starting full-time at St Werburgh’s. This is an opportunity to see what school’s catering has to offer for your child and how lunchtimes are organised. These meals should be booked in advance and paid for from the school office and will be advised when it is convenient.
Free School Meals
Forms and information are available from the school office and is very important that those who have the right to school meals should indeed do so as the number of free school meals claimed can raise more budgets for the school.
Packed Lunches
We advise children to first try our selection of school meals however, packed lunches can be brought into school.
